I started Birdie Because I was fed up
Like a lot of homeowners, I got tired of hiring contractors who’d show up late, or not at all. Who’d make promises they couldn’t keep. Who’d leave jobs half-done and stop returning calls.
I remember waiting around for a 4-hour service window, rearranging my whole day, only to get a text at 3pm: “Running behind, we’ll reschedule.” No apology. No urgency. Just…that’s how it is.
And I thought: why is that acceptable? Why do we just expect contractors to be flaky? Why is “he actually showed up” considered high praise?
It shouldn’t be that way.
So I decided to build something different
In March 2025, I started Birdie Window Cleaning with a simple idea: what if a home service company actually operated the way it should?
What if someone answered the phone when you called, and got back to you within an hour, not days?
What if appointments happened when scheduled, no 4-hour windows, no last-minute cancellations?
